A well planned home improvement bathroom can add value to your house. If the bathroom does not provide the amenities you require you could rearrange the existing set-up to add extra appliances. Always try and accommodate a shower, even if it is over the bath. If you are planning on selling your home consider what buyers will want from a bathroom. Try and make it seem as spacious as possible.

Here are a few pointers to making your bathroom a success:

Allow sufficient room between the bath and the wall to dry yourself with a towel. The same amount of space will allow you to bend to clean the bath.

Allow an equal space in front of a WC or bidet but provide extra leg room each side of a bidet.

Allow enough space to bend over the basin comfortably and have plenty of elbow room. Families like big basins so try to put one in.

If you have a shower cubicle make sure there is enough space for the door to open fully without obstruction.
